See the 08-30-2010 issue of the New Yorker magazine and its article titled Covert Operations, 10 pages, by Jane Mayer, on the two billionaire marketplace-libertarian brothers David and Charles Koch (Koch pronounced “coke”), both in their 70s, bankrolling the Tea Party, the libertarian Cato Institute and numerous conservative and reactionary astro-turf (grass-roots impersonator) social and political activist groups and organizations as well as think tanks, and constituting the command and control hub of the war of trash talk and lies against President Obama personally and very much of his policy initiatives, including Health-care Reform and the national economic stimulus program. They are also reported to be big-oil men opposed to oil industry regulation, and, moreover, industrial and commercial regulation, per se, and back media deniers of climate science (human-cause in climate change) and are at odds with environmentalism and environmentalists, although they are stereotypical rich-folks patrons of  elite arts and medicine — educated, primped and manicured cavemen in suits and ties and the heirs of a grand fortune, as well as the helmsmen and flag bearers of doomed Caveman Capitalism (marketplace libertarianism) under assault by the burgeoning new-paradigm clean-tech Good Steward Capitalism with a Conscience (check out The Starlight Power Utopian Prophesy http://bit.ly/cwN4nR and Goodbye & Good Riddance to Dirty Fossil Fuels http://bit.ly/932E41). Their private conglomerate of companies is estimated to take in annual revenues of $100,000,000,000.00 and they are said to have a combined personal fortune of $35,000,000,000.00. Disregard the political-warfare disinformation, misinformation and lies that President Obama is a Muslim.  As President, he is the chief statesman of the U.S. and representative of the U.S. Constitution and has to uphold it first and foremost at all costs and cannot, with personal integrity as a constitutional scholar and with integrity for the office he holds as President of all of the U.S., take a culturally or politically partisan and expedient stand, even at the cost of losing political popularity and forgoing windfall votes, on the socially inflammatory matter of the proposed building of a mosque or Islamic center near ground zero in N.Y.C.  President Obama is a long-time practicing Christian, and is Christian in spirit to the fullest extent as exemplified in the all-loving and -caring life of Jesus himself.

In addition, President Obama has been very much criticized all along to the moment by his political rank and file supporters as being too nice, welcoming and conciliatory toward his opponents and politically partisan opposition, despite his firmness in dealing with them, and has been viewed as a uniter and conciliator by character and nature.  Therefore, do not expect socially unbalanced and demagogic politics from him.

Also disregard the dismissive vocal attacks by some proponents and defenders of the proposal rebuffing as inappropriate the storm of mass public adverse reaction and as insincere and in-the-service-of-political-agenda public outcry by politicians against the proposed building of the mosque or Islamic center.  The protesting majority of American citizens and many politicians, who are U.S. citizens and real human beings with families and genuine heart-felt feelings and concerns, too, while being representatives of their constituencies and in a position to be readily heard by the news media when they speak out, have the first amendment right of freedom of speech and protest also guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution and are peacefully exercising them, just as the proponents of the proposed mosque or Islamic center have the right of the free exercise of religion guaranteed by our Constitution and are exercising it.  The protesting majority citizenry appropriately hold the ground zero area in N.Y.C. to be a solemn and sacred national site, in the wake of the destruction and carnage wreaked on fellow ordinary, innocent people (regardless of the particular vices of some or many — not massacre-murder or execution offenses in compassionate and tolerant infidel civilization, let alone indiscriminate such barbarism), largely U.S. citizens, working and venturing about there, at the time of the 9/11 terrorist assault by Muslims there (members of the militant Islamic organization al Qaeda, whose spiritual leader was/is Osama bin Laden, with the grandiose explicit objective of establishing a worldwide Islamic caliphate, and with this organization and leader at the time having been hosted by the then explicitly Islamic government of Afghanistan, the Taliban, a fundamentalist Islamic clerical sect, and where following the attacks U.S. government investigators determined al Qaeda to have been significantly funded from throughout the world from contributions from Muslim charities, mosques and sympathetic business people, whereupon the U.S. has outlawed and implemented measures to disrupt such funding from domestic sources) – carnage and harm that continued in the aftermath of the attack upon rescue and disaster responders, hundreds of whom bravely and heroically lost and risked their lives and suffered serious injuries and life-long injury in performing their duties.  To these citizen majority protesters the presence of a  mosque or Islamic center in proximity to the nationally sacred ground zero site is viewed as an audacious, outrageous and callous blasphemy, defilement and desecration of, as well as symbol of disrespect for, the memory of the lives lost, injured and risked in association with this national tragedy by “Islamic terrorist destruction and carnage.”  There is a passionate clash of the exercise of contrasting Constitutional rights on this matter and the protesting voices and feelings of the citizen majority are valid too.  Moreover,  silence and passivity of the majority on this matter would be unconscionable and an unpardonable wrong.  Contrary to the proponents’ public assertions that most people in the community of the proposed mosque or Islamic center support its building, media polls report that 28% of those in the community support its building.  Nevertheless, this is a national, N.Y. state and N.Y.C. issue as well, seared indelibly in most of the minds of the current generations of U.S. citizens.

About Reverend Terry Jones, in the News of 09-08-2010, and His Announced Intention to Burn Korans on His Church Grounds on 09-11-2010 and a Broader Look at Badness in Spirituality, Eugenics and Adolph Hitler

While I disagree with Gainesville, Florida, Reverend Terry Jones’s intended protest action of burning Korans on his church grounds on 09-11-2010 to commemorate the loss of the lives in the radical Islam terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon on 09-11-2001 and to  express his outrage for the barbarism of both radical Islam and institutional Islamic Sharia-Law torture, mayhem and murder of individuals for their religiously objectionable private conduct and minor social and economic transgressions, sinful behavior or misdeeds, most often of socially and economically common people, including children, usually relating to consensual sex between individuals outside of marriage, attire, grooming, gender mixing in public, music and dancing, alcohol and narcotics consumption, petty theft and religious self determination, as well as for legally enforced Islamic cultural and social discrimination and injustice against women and girls and for imposed Islamic theocratic rule on nations and terrorist attacks against perceived infidel political and religious offenders, I support his first amendment Constitutional right to such a form of protest — but hope he will weigh in mind and heart the dangers to others, and himself, his intended action, if carried out, will bring.  Islamic overreaction by masses of Muslims around the world, of riots and threats of injury and death to Reverend Jones and Americans in general for his intended Koran burnings, illustrate that the culture of Islam, behind the meek manner and pious dress of so many Muslims, is in the mainstream an intolerant and savage fanatical idolater culture (idolatry for the Koran, the Prophet Mohammad, Mecca and the haj, mosques, customs, rituals and conformity) that is disposed to kill people over idols and symbolism, contrary to the “let’s pretend” of public-relations  politicians, good-will infidel clergy and gracious news media commentators apologizing for and excusing Islam for its unique and widespread barbarism and claiming that it is really a peaceful and great religion.  Let’s face it, if nuclear weapons or materials come into the hands of radical Muslims, or mainstream Muslims without mainstream wealth and power, they will use them against their powerful offenders and opponents, even suicidally.

It is not Muslim Arabs, Iranians, Indonesians, Malaysians, Pakistanis, Africans, east Europeans and others of numerous other ethnicities, per se, or Islam and the Koran, that are so much the problem; rather, it is the socially intolerant bully and callous culture of Islam, Sharia Law and its bully clergy and civil authorities and their exploitation and corruption of Islam that are the root of the problem with Islam, which have created misguided, mentally and spiritually disturbed, dangerous adherents as well as leaders.  We should invite and welcome not only these victims, but also their victimizer governing authorities and religious leaders, and disciplinarian goons in their service, to share Christian, Buddhist  and secular humanist principles and values with which to temper Islam and to bring Islam into the world of modern human civilization that respects the free will, and the natural rights and dignity of the individual, of the male and female equally.

To the credit of Islam, it, alongside also Buddhism and historically highly problematical Catholicism (where Catholic Church means the universal ministry church, the direct peasant ministry of Jesus, the Apostolic Catholic Church,  but was co-opted by the Roman Emperor Constantine the Great, superstitiously on the eve of  battle [in using the image of the cross as a good luck charm for himself and his troops on the battlefield in replacement of it as a symbol for the loving and peaceful Jesus], to become the frequently corrupt Roman Catholic Church of the power structure of Rome, replacing the peasant language with Latin and peasant religious paraphernalia with rich-fabric and ultimately silk-and-satin attire, gems, gold and silver and opulence, treasures, fine artworks, fine-art music and a vast, far-flung inventory of  real-estate holdings and lofty architecture, where it was a Roman governor who sentenced Jesus to death at the entreaty and clamoring of the small-in-numbers — similar in social attitudes and values to today’s abrasive and selfishly privilege, power and wealth-centered and privilege, power and wealth-fawning conservative Republicans, Tea Party throng and marketplace libertarians — religiously powerful Jewish Pharisees [publicly chastised by Jesus], not representative of the Jewish people by any stretch of the imagination, while acknowledging his innocence, where it was Roman soldiers who put a crown of thorns on the head of Jesus and mocked and ridiculed him as “king of the Jews,” who crucified him to the cross, speared him in his side and gambled for this clothing while he hung on the cross and who for several centuries burned and fed Christians to lions in Coliseums for entertainment), is among the racially, ethnically and internationally most accepting and present religions on Earth.

However, in equal treatment, fairness and balance regarding the spiritually inspired transgressions of terror against humanity and civilization, I wish Reverend Terry Jones felt and had expressed as much outrage for the morally grossly inconsistent and contradictory, often bloody and genocidal, ethnocentric Old Testament of Judaism (containing the arrogant ethnocentric, pseudo-racial supremacist claim of a divine, God’s chosen people, of there being one God, higher than all else, My God, who made me and my people his chosen people — the ideology of the sacrosanct Jew:  ”I’m better than you and above reproach whatever I may do” as well as my persecution, pain, suffering and loss are more grievous, pitiable and entitled to attention, redress and compensation than yours”), and who gave to me and my people as the promised land of milk and honey your land, of the Canaanites, of streams, farms, pastures, flocks and herds, orchards, cities, towns and markets, by usurpation and the force of arms by my warriors, repeated in 1948 (with God and the Judeo-Christian Trinity being then the heads of state of the governments of  the U.S. and Soviet Union, and the U.N., the latter under the thumbs of the central governments of these former two major WWII-victor geopolitical entities), according to the divinely inspired scriptures I wrote; for the institutional prejudice and discriminatory caste-system doctrine of Hinduism relating to gender and one’s born social class; for the self-righteous blatantly false-Christian lynch-mob and cross-burning ultra-racist and xenophobic Ku Klux Klan (KKK = 666, burning cross = anti-Christ, hangings = sadistic and demonic-cult ritual-murder-sacrifice death worship/fetish); and for the eugenics master-race Nazism and Mein Kampf  of Adolph Hitler, an Austrian, not a German, by birth and an unexcommunicated Roman Catholic to his death, (who, by 2010 reported findings from genetic [DNA] tests on the children of his family members, has been found to have had Jewish and/or North-African Berber ancestry via his father, a love-child, or bastard in proper-society old speak, whose alleged and disputed father, or Hitler’s paternal grandfather, had a Jewish surname, Frankenberger [see the British newspaper MailOnline World News,  the article "DNA tests reveal 'Hitler was descended from the Jews and Africans he hated'," By Allan Hall, 24th August 2010 and other credible online and offline library articles on this discovery] – mongrel Hitler ushering in and spearheading the eugenic, pure-blooded Aryan-Nordic, to-be all-blond-haired, blue-eyed, master race [without even green, gray or yellow, etc., eyes -- how utterly monotonous, bland and boring!  No wonder why Hitler failed as an artist, most of whom know variety is the spice of life!], with him and his scientists not considering that perhaps in theory eugenics could also produce, by selective breeding, an optimal environment, such nutritional diet, education and upbringing, functionally far better eugenic Africans [like from the Watusi, gentle giants,  or Masai people] or a eugenic internationally or world-sourced mongrel master quasi-race [based on the scientific fact of hybrid vigor, particularly from combining best specimens into another variety and/or with the best specimens or individuals of another variety, like out-breeding with mates far beyond bio-degenerative inbreeding with one's siblings, cousins or parents or children], of which the latter is the naturally occurring and growing case from among the populations of those, in the east and west, who defeated Hitler and his scientists and military).  So help me, I pray that Zeus himself and mighty Hercules would come to Earth and pummel them all to a bloody pulp and break their necks and that they might crash and burn in this world and plunge into the furious flames of raucous, raging Hades, roiling with intolerable pain and screaming and anger and hate, in the next world, their rightful eternal home, if they do not subscribe to, as opposed to preach or tout, a devote practice of respect, humanity, compassion and mercy for their human brethren, males and females equality, as well as of care and respect for our planet, wild nature and the animals, and with firm but fair and compassionate but effective punishment and rehabilitation for criminal transgressors, as distinct from sinners who should have to answer only to their consciences, and on a personal but physically non-violent behavioral level, their fellow humans, and God — with sins being misconduct that is not a direct transgression or trespass against or on others, such as alcohol abuse, fornication between consenting adults and adultery (sometimes sins or misconduct are appropriately subject to civil-law remedies such as for passing on a venereal disease or violating marriage vows and the marriage contract, or even criminal sanctions, as for transmitting HIV/AIDS).

Now the imam, Feisal Abdul Rauf,  behind the near ground zero Cordoba Islamic community center development project in N.Y.C. has announced, on 09-08-2010, that he  will go forward with its construction because he is more concerned about angry Muslim reaction if he does not go forward with it than he is with angry U.S. public reaction if he does go forward with the project.

Look forward to eventual Sharia Law in Dearborn, MI, with the largest Muslim population in the U.S., which has already legislated a public call to prayer for Muslims.  Previously, the late Nation of Islam leader Elijia Mohammad called for a separate nation of five states in the U.S. for the black U.S. population, overwhelmingly Christian, to be governed by the Nation of Islam (the black Muslims).  Can you imagine Elijia Mohammad — read his painful reasoning and logic (probably written by ghost writers) and listen to his inarticulate, problematic speech on recordings — governing over Martin Luther King, Jr., and trying to govern over Reverend Jesse Jackson, Reverend Al Sharpton and other high-profile Christian black clergy?  It would be another ferociously black-on-black civil-warring Africa, from top to bottom, stateside of the U.S.
