Health Insurance Reform before Pontius Pilate

Health Care Insurance Reform at the Hands of Pontius Pilate & the American Pharisees and Their Venomous & Virulent Rabble on the Eve of this Easter Season of 2010

Texas Republican Congressman Kevin Brady’s criticism of health-care insurnace reform and suggestion that if it is enacted into law it will turn into an oppressive, police-state program enforced by an addition of 16,500 IRS enforcers, in remarks released to the news media on 03-19-2010, is

Wacko/Whacko/Waco reckless Republican scary scare rhetoric again after again and again and again, ad infinitum, consistent with Republicans’ squandering of the precious blood of American soldiers and the American treasury for the benefit of some few big oil and war-dependent and profiteering corporations and the amoral and immoral profits-before-people investor class enriched by them.  The Republican Party has become the wealth worshiper and legally immune public looter party of the U.S. and international community.  Republicans and libertarians, inclusive of the Tea Party mob (who in the vast majority have net-taxable household incomes of or in excess of the threshold such annual income of $250,000.00 subject to the special tax on high incomes to in part pay for universal health-care insurance — more is required of those who benefit most in any civilization), are against health care reform because they will have to pay higher taxes on their high incomes to help pay for it for everybody, where they benefit disproportionately from the bounty of our common land and society by virtue of the large size of their wealth, very often inherited and delivered to them on a silver platter by family and highly placed family friends in business and government.  Rarely are they of the initiative, character and personal achievement of pioneering benign-products innovators and new wealth achievers like Andy Grove and Gordon Moore, the founders of Intel Corp., Bill Gates and Paul Allen of Microsoft Corp., or Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak  and Ronald Wayne of Apple Corp.  Too often they are selfish, insensitive-to-strangers and different-others articulate but animalistic, demagogic and mediocre achievers and human monstrosities like killer-shark scary-mouthed Republican Congressman Kevin Brady and secessionist-talking, sham-patriot Texas Governor Rick Perry claiming to be Christians but not practicing the principles of Jesus of good neighborliness, of being one’s brethren’s keeper, of being a good Samaritan, of love thy neighbor as they self, of do unto others as you would have them do unto you, of whatsoever you do to the least of these you do to me, as regards their less fortunate fellow Americans or humans worldwide.

The storming onslaught of Republican criticisms of and calls for scrapping health-care insurance reform and starting over from point zero is a strategy to kill the reform effort again, as has been done successfully by the Republican Party, including feudal, voodoo-economics doctors (indeed, the witchdoctors of modernity — there are doctors in hell too, as Dr. Josef Mengele is surely channeling you), against similar reform efforts undertaken during the presidencies of Theodor Roosevelt, Franklin Roosevelt, Harry Truman, Dwight Eisenhower, John Kennedy, Richard Nixon and Bill Clinton. They are not sincere and honest criticisms and calls for better reform, but are excuses to kill health-care insurance reform altogether (that is, to take it out of the Congressional legislative docket indefinitely if not permanently) and to preserve the financial wind-fall  status quo of the ripoff and public-looter and discriminatory health-insurance services and practices, and associated immoral profits, of the concerned financial and political benefactor constituency of the Republican Party and corporatist conservatives, being the powerful health insurance corporations, in addition their constituency of  the self-serving and self-centered households of the wealthy class.

In modernized Christian semantics I pose the millennia-old biblical question of “What does it profit one for temporal mundane gain and privilege for one’s self at the sufferance of one’s brethren and thereafter to lose one’s immortal soul for eternity?”

Wake up, America, and smell the coffee through the steam of the strident and clattering tea pot (Tea Party, et. al.)!
